Voter Outreach with FANHS-HTX
Mabuhay! As you all know, this year’s upcoming election in Houston is already underway, with the early voting already happening since October 23rd. As a Filipino American organization, we encourage our community to participate in the local election to make sure that we are accounted for in every political decision that affects our everyday lives. Our goal for this election is to reach out to every eligible voting constituents through the use of canvassing and calling. Our partnership with Houston in Action enables us to participate in the voting census and to promote proper democracy through voting advocacy and outreach. We encourage you, fellow Filipino Americans of Houston, to help our cause and to embolden the rest of our community to go out there and be a part of this election!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are Partnering up with Houston in Action to reach out to voters on 2 different dates:
- Door-to-door Canvassing (Saturday, Nov 4, 2023)
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Sign in and Canvassing Training
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Canvassing
Non-members can participate
Compensation: $45/hour
***LIMITED SPOTS (Only 5 people needed) - Phone Banking (Sunday, November 5, 2023)
2pm-5pm @ the Houston in Action Office
Bring a charger, laptop or device to use
FANHS-HTX members only (Must wear FANHS-HTX t-shirt)
Compensation: $25/per hour
***LIMITED SPOTS (Only 10-12 people needed)
