About 20 Filipinos were repatriated from Cambodia on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, according to the Philippine Embassy in Cambodia.
The Embassy, with the Migrant Workers Office-Cambodia (MWO-Cambodia) facilitated the repatriation of distressed Filipinos, including those recruited for illegal employment and others requiring consular assistance.
“The Philippine Embassy reminds Filipinos to exercise caution when considering overseas job offers, particularly those offered through unauthorized recruiters,” the Embassy said in a statement.
“Filipinos are also encouraged to verify the legitimacy of employment opportunities and comply with applicable labor and immigration laws in Cambodia,” it added. — BAP, GMA News
