The Philippines has so much to offer, their culture and norms are way undervalued, we coming from the west have a tendency to focus on some negative aspects, I have done this also, however thx to you I keep my eyes on all that is great here and this includes you of course. You ARE the definition of a GREAT Filipina…

I feel all countries have there good and bad points, I think one of the best parts of the Philippines is the people. Some of the best people I've met come from your country. I have a Filipino family living down the road from me. I expressed my interest in going there for a visit one day and the husband told me he would have one of his friends take care of me if I do go. We chat all the time and I enjoy his family's company.

Parents, GrandParents, Grandchildren, sister-in-law, brother-i -laws, the piglets on the backyard …. they will be "all" depending on you….😂😂😂 ( even the Ex-husband could show up asking for money to leave the family alone…)

A little piece of advice, Mia. Practice speaking from your heart and mind. Choose a topic and discuss it with Paul.

Wow…..what a great vlog! More info here than I've found in any other video. Interesting that you mention MacArthur….my father was among those who helped liberate Leyte from the Japanese. In less than a week after the initial invasion Tacloban was returned to civilian Filipino rule. The next couple of months were not as easy. Lots and lots of rain and he spent a couple of days with pinoys after getting separated from his unit. Most spoke English but just too much rain to even look for anyone else. There were stories of the bravery of filipinos and not just the soldiers. Many barefooted teenagers (boys and girls) and maybe even younger, would carry supplies to Americans at great risk. And even under those difficult conditions most were happy and smiling. I think maybe he just liked being around some girls after all that time without any! Anyway, he made it back and I was born 18 months later. One sad note…. much of what you're describing is what America was like when I was growing up. There is one political party here that seems to constantly try and destroy family and religion so that people will turn to them for help. I am concerned for our future. Please don't change!

Mia, thanks for another awesome video, and keep the great videos coming. I'm subscribed to both your channel and Paul's as well. You both create excellent and extremely informative videos about life in the Philippines. Paul's western perspective and your Filipina perspective are a great combination. I'm very much looking forward to July 2023, when I will be moving there.
