Vallejo Seaweed still perfect at Wilson Park – Times Herald Online

The Vallejo Seaweed continued an early perfect season at Wilson Park, defeating Bakersfield on Sunday 5-4.

The Seaweed are now 3-0 playing in Vallejo this season. They were scheduled to play Monday night at the same venue, as well as Tuesday.

Kulia Neal earned the win for the Seaweed, pitching two innings in relief and giving up no runs on one hit.

The game remained tied at 4-4 until the bottom of the sixth inning when Thomas Fitzpatrick drew a bases-loaded walk to drive home Mickey Nunes with the eventual winning run.

Nunes, Aaron Harper, Bryce Hayman and Michael Pavelchak all had two hits for the Seaweed.

On Saturday the Seaweed lost at San Rafael 10-4. The Seaweed will eventually play four Saturday road games during the month at San Rafael.
