House Speaker Martin Romualdez paid tribute on Sunday, June 15, to what he described as Filipino fathers’ quiet strength and everyday heroism.

This Father’s Day, I honor the quiet strength and everyday heroism of Filipino fathers. These are the men who rise each morning with a single goal in mind: to build a better life for their children, Romualdez said in his statement.

Thank you for your sacrifices. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your love, he said.

The Leyte 1st district representative and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) president says he acknowledges the deep responsibility that comes with being a father, being one himself.

I understand the long days, the sleepless nights, and the unwavering hope we carry for our families. I have felt the joy of small moments with my children and the worry that comes with every challenge they face, he said.

I also remember my own father, whose values of humility, service, and love for country shaped the man I am today. His guidance continues to inspire me in my work for the Filipino people, Romualdez said.

Fatherhood, after all, is not just about providing. It is about building a future our children can stand on with pride, noted the House leader.

Romualdez further said: To all Filipino fathers, whether here at home or working far from your loved ones, whether leading from the front or standing quietly in support—you are the foundation of our families and the heart of our communities.
