According to Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, Vitaly was transferred to the BJMP on June 11, where he will remain until the court cases against him are resolved. He will then be returned to the BI for deportation.
“This is not just a matter of administrative procedure—it is about protecting the integrity of our immigration laws,” Viado said in a report published by BI. “Foreign nationals who abuse our hospitality and violate our laws must face the consequences. The Bureau is resolute: we will not allow our deportation process to be undermined by publicity tactics or legal maneuvering. No special treatment will be given.”
Previously, the Russian national had asked to be released on bail, but the BI did not grant it.
In a press release issued by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on June 1, Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed that Vitaly is set to face trial for three counts of unjust vexation with a possible jail time of three months to one year if found guilty.
In April, the 33-year-old controversial vlogger was arrested in Pasay City for causing disruption and pranking Filipino passerbys for rage content.
