ATLANTA, Ga. (ATL Live) – Bayanihan Fest 2026 will bring Filipino food, cultural and contemporary performances, karaoke, local vendors and Filipino-owned businesses to Uptown Atlanta on Saturday, October 17. The free event is organized by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia in celebration of Filipino American History Month.
Romielyn Bagay Joson, the chamber’s president, and Arlene Dizon, thefestival’s main partner sponsor, talked with ATL Live hosts Ava Braatz and Savannah Louie about the festival’s cultural and community focus.
Kahloe Del Rosario, creator of Pono Fit, also discussed her beginner-friendly fitness class based on hula and Tahitian dance basics. Classes begin October 18 at 3 p.m. in Sandy Springs. Atlanta Balintawak assistant instructor David Samonte and student Roderick Powell also demonstrated the Filipino martial art of stick fighting, Balintawak. Anyone interested in learning more can take advantage of their free trial lesson.
