Philippines’ Miss Supranational 2025 bet Tarah Valencia paid homage to the hardworking Filipino farmers and the brute “kalabaw” (water buffalo) in her national costume, highlighting their role in her native Cordillera to nation-building.
The Baguio lass paraded an Emanuel Riñoza creation that featured sculpted shoulder pieces resembling carabao heads, a headpiece bearing horns, a nose ring, and a structured body suit.
In her Instagram post, Valencia said the carabao is the “strength of the land, spirit of the people,” and is “a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and deep connection to the land.”
“This masterpiece weaves together tradition, craftsmanship, and cultural pride, showcasing the enduring heart of the Filipino spirit. This ensemble is a living tapestry—honoring the indigenous knowledge, labor, and resilience of Filipino communities. Through the fusion of traditional materials and modern silhouettes, stands as a beacon of national pride and a visual storyteller of the Philippines’ rich cultural terrain,” she said.
