Filipino designer Veejay Floresca, meanwhile, was hailed the winner in the 21st season of Project Runway, a reality competition for fashion designers. She first gained recognition as a finalist in the inaugural season of Project Runway Philippines back in 2008, making this win a full-circle moment.
According to several news media outlets, including TVLine, Veejay secured the victory after a final face-off against Jesus Estrada and Ethan Mundt, the other designers in the Top 3. They were tasked with creating a five-look collection in five days, to which Veejay rose to the challenge and won.
Meanwhile, Filipino model Kirk Bondad was hailed as Mister International 2025, besting Lebanon’s Saadedine Hneineh, and Korea’s Seung-ho Cho.
“Congratulations to Kirk Bondad on making history and inspiring the world with confidence and pride,” Mister International posted on their Instagram page.
Filipinos, meanwhile, could not help but be proud of Jessica, Veejay, and Kirk for winning their respective competitions, congratulating them and expressing how proud they are of their fellow Pinoys.
