CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), in partnership with the Metrobank Foundation Inc., recognized three exceptional soldiers during the awarding ceremony of the 2025 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos – Award for Soldiers (MFOFAS) held today, here.
Presided over by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., and Metrobank Foundation President Mr. Philip Francisco Dy, the event paid tribute to the exemplary service and commitment of Filipino soldiers who have made significant contributions to the military and to nation-building.
This year’s MFOFAS awardees are Colonel Joey T Fontiveros, Commander, AFP Cyber Command; Colonel Ricky L Canatoy, Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, G7, 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army; and UO1 Anro Anthony M Turallo, Chief Enlisted Personnel for Operations, Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group, Naval Special Warfare Force, Philippine Navy.
The Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos is an annual recognition program that honors public servants who go above and beyond the call of duty. The AFP expressed its gratitude to the Metrobank Foundation for its unwavering support in recognizing the sacrifices and achievements of military personnel.
