Cold Lake city council approved two applications for a total of $12,500 through the Community Recreation, Art, Culture and Heritage Investment Grant Program.
“The Community, Recreation, Art, Culture, and Heritage Investment (CRACH) Grant Program supports funding to develop or enhance recreation and cultural programs within the community, with different streams available for applicants,” reads the city’s release.
During the September 9th meeting council granted $2,500 to the Filipino Association of Bonnyville and Cold Lake Alberta to support the Lakeland Cup 4.0 Basketball League Tournament and $10,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta as an ice sponsorship for the Winterland Invitational Hockey Tournament.
Applications are reviewed monthly by the Community Grant Advisory Committee before recommendations are brought to council. For more information on the CRACH and other grants visit the city’s website.
