The Brand Summer Music Series continues its tradition of free, community-centered concerts with a live performance by ZOS!MO on Friday, August 1, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Brand Library & Art Center, located at 1601 W. Mountain Street, Glendale, CA.
The performance is part of Glendale’s ongoing efforts to celebrate cultural diversity and live music through its annual summer concert series, now in its 10th year.
An Eclectic Evening on the Lawn

Set against the scenic backdrop of Brand Park, this all-ages outdoor event invites attendees to enjoy eclectic live music on the lawn behind Brand Library. While seating is not provided, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets and picnic on the grassy hillsides. Performances typically run 60 to 90 minutes with no intermission and are family-friendly.
Admission is free, and venue parking is available on-site. An accessible entrance and parking spaces for vehicles with disability placards are also located on the east side of the library.
ZOS!MO: Honoring Heritage Through Indie Rock
The evening’s headliner, ZOS!MO, is the stage name of Zosimo Quibilan, an award-winning Filipino American fictionist, poet, playwright, and culture bearer. Backed by his band, ZOS!MO exclusively performs original Tagalog indie pop/rock, drawing inspiration from Quibilan’s rock opera, Liwanag, which explores the 1896 Philippine Revolution and the American colonization that followed.
ZOS!MO recently made waves as the first Filipino American rock band featured in NPR Music’s 2025 Tiny Desk Contest as a #DeskoftheDay with their entry “Nagbabadyang Liwanag” (Imminent Light) — the first Tagalog song to earn that distinction this year. The band has also been featured in LA Made’s 2023–2024 series, performing in public libraries across Los Angeles County to promote Filipino American culture.
A Decade of Community, Culture, and Music
The Brand Summer Music Series, launched in 2014, is made possible through support from the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission, Urban Art Program, Glendale Library, Arts & Culture, Community Services and Parks, and the Brand Associates. The series brings vibrant performances to the community each summer, offering accessible cultural programming for residents of all ages.
