World Gin Day 2025 celebrates global gin culture

World Gin Day 2025 came alive in the Philippines with an immersive, travel-themed celebration that brought the world of gin to Manila. Held at the Manila Diamond Hotel, the event transformed the grand ballroom into an aviation-inspired playground where every guest took off on a sensory journey through gin’s history, versatility, and international appeal.

With the theme “Your World of Gin Experience,” this year’s festivities celebrated not just gin as a drink, but as a destination. From curated exhibits to handcrafted cocktails, the experience highlighted how this clear spirit connects cultures, traditions, and lifestyles across the globe.

Around the world in a glass

The event was divided into three themed zones representing the essence of gin: Cool, Clear, and Versatile.

At Cool Botanica, guests entered a lush indoor garden where juniper berries and other botanicals could be touched, crushed, and smelled—inviting visitors to experience gin from the ground up.

The journey continued at Clear Archives, a London-style pub installation that offered a museum-like view into gin’s evolution, complete with vintage posters, copper pot stills, and heritage artifacts. Guests were invited to sample small-batch, premium labels including 1834 Premium Distilled Gin and Archangel Reserve Dry Gin.

Finally, Versatile Bar & Lounge mimicked a sleek international airport lounge. Here, signature gin cocktails representing countries like the Philippines, Italy, Singapore, the UK, and the USA were served—each drink telling its own story through ingredients and craftsmanship. The cocktails featured popular local favorites, including Gin Bilog and GSM Blue, adding a Filipino twist to international classics.

Star-studded celebration of gin

Led by dynamic personalities, each “chapter” of the event elevated the spirit of gin:

• Social media personality Boss Toyo opened the World of Adventure – Gin is Cool, speaking about the bold, youthful energy that gin exudes while Gin Carts roamed with Singapore Sling samples.

• Legal heartthrob Atty. Oliver Moeller guided guests through World of Excellence – Gin is Clear, shedding light on distillation and purity, while acknowledging the global awards won by Filipino-made spirits.

• Actress Mikee Quintos and singer Julie Anne San Jose helmed World of Celebration – Gin is Versatile, exploring how gin suits every occasion—from weekend gatherings to elegant events—with personalized mix recommendations.

Adding to the festivities were live musical numbers by Gabbi Garcia and a closing performance from Nik Makino, both brand ambassadors who brought energy and entertainment to the night.

A global toast, a Filipino pride

The highlight of the evening came with a message from Emma Stokes, Global World Gin Day Ambassador, who emphasized that over 36 countries now celebrate World Gin Day, noting how the Philippines has become a standout participant. She remarked that the celebration here reflects the growing international love for Filipino spirits.

A ceremonial toast, led by GSMI executives, capped the night—celebrating the brand’s international milestones and its evolving role in placing Filipino excellence on the global spirits map.

The spirit of discovery

World Gin Day 2025 was more than a celebration; it was a cultural showcase that positioned gin as a global connector—and the Philippines as a major player in that conversation. With continued innovation, heritage products, and a bold creative spirit, Ginebra San Miguel once again proved why it remains a cherished name in every Filipino celebration—and why its story is now being shared with the world.
