K-pop girl group powerhouse TWICE is looking forward to seeing their Filipino fans as they are set to return to the country on October 4.
In a video greeting released on Wednesday on Instagram, the nine-member group thanked their Filipino fanbase, collectively known as ONCE, for their unwavering support.
“Hi Filipino ONCE! We’re coming back to the Philippines as part of our This Is For world tour,” said the group. “We still remember the energy and love from the last time we were here, and we’re so excited to see you all again.”
TWICE last performed in the country in September 2023 for a two-night stop of their “Ready To Be” world tour. They first visited the Philippines in 2019.
Formed in 2015 through the survival show “Sixteen” under JYP Entertainment, TWICE rose to global fame with chart-topping hits such as “TT,” “What Is Love,” and “Fancy,” among others.
Members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung also recently sang the song “Takedown” for the hit animated musical film “KPop Demon Hunters.” TWICE ‘s song “Strategy” was also featured in the film.
The “This Is For” world tour, which kicked off in Incheon, South Korea, in July, supports TWICE’s fourth studio album of the same name. The record features the lead single “This Is For,” along with 13 other tracks.
Tickets for their upcoming show in Philippine Arena on October 4 went on presale today, with general ticket sales set to open tomorrow. /edv
