MANILA, Philippines — The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) recently opened the “Panahon sa Taiwan Travel Fair 2025,” drawing a large crowd of Filipino visitors and filling the venue with energy and excitement.

Leading the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the event’s opening were Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines deputy representative Dustin T.S. Yang and Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila (TTIC in Manila) director Cindy Y.T. Chen, together with executives and representatives from major airlines and travel agencies.

In addition to highlighting Taiwan’s vibrant culture with fun night market games like ring toss and bottle hoop, the travel fair featured exhibitors, such as China Airlines, EVA Air, Amkor Travel and Tours Inc., BF Travel and Tours Inc., Everbright Travel & Tours Inc., Jeron Travel, and Sole Destinations Travel, all promoting Taiwan’s diverse tourism offerings.

Chen noted that according to the Taiwan Tourism Administration’s (TTA) mid-year 2025 statistics, the Philippine market for Taiwan tourism continues to perform strongly.

With the support of visa-free entry and targeted promotional campaigns, Taiwan remains one of the top choices for Filipino outbound travelers, with its four-season climate, convenient transportation, diverse street food, vibrant shopping experiences, and warm hospitality among the key attractions drawing Filipino tourists.

This year’s fair also welcomed travel blogger Xzar Lim and Filipino actress Bea Binene, who shared their personal travel experiences in Taiwan, inspiring even greater interest among attendees of the travel fair.

Visitors enjoyed the Taiwanese Night Market showcase and a hands-on Lucky Lantern D.I.Y. workshop, experiencing Taiwan’s lively culture firsthand. In addition to interactive activities and souvenirs, attendees had the opportunity to win roundtrip tickets from Manila to Taipei.
