The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 is almost here, and gamers around the world are tuning in as top esports athletes head to Riyadh from July 7 to August 24. For Filipino fans, this year is especially exciting. Multiple top-tier teams and players from the Philippines are stepping onto the global stage — ready to prove that PH esports is stronger than ever.
Here’s a quick look at all the Filipino teams and players you should be cheering for.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)

Mid Season Cup
MLBB is massive in the Philippines, and we’ve got two powerhouse teams already locked in for the Mid-Season Cup at EWC 2025:
- Team Liquid PH – MPL PH Season 15 champions, riding strong momentum into the international scene.
- ONIC PH – MPL PH runners-up and one of the region’s most consistent contenders.
A third team, Team Falcons PH — featuring experienced players from the former AP Bren roster — is still fighting for their spot through the Last Chance Qualifier. If they make it, we’ll have even more PH firepower in the mix.
Women’s Invitational
The MLBB Women’s Invitational is also back, bigger than ever, with a beefed-up prize pool and expanded format. A Filipino squad will once again compete for the crown.

Dota 2

Representing the Philippines in Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup 2025 is none other than Execration. Known for their solid performances in the SEA region, this battle-tested squad is carrying the PH flag in one of the most competitive esports titles in the world.
Facing global powerhouses won’t be easy, but Execration has the experience and grit to make waves. With passionate fans behind them, they’ll be looking to make a deep run and show what Pinoy Dota is made of.
Valorant: Filipino Pros on the Rise

While there’s no national PH Valorant team at the EWC, our players are still out there making waves. Paper Rex, one of Asia’s strongest rosters, includes talented Filipino players competing at the highest level.
Their recent performance at VALORANT Masters Toronto proves they’re legit threats on the world stage, and another strong run in Riyadh could seal their place in FPS history.
