The increase in flight frequency will also allow Philippine Airlines to increase cargo capacity up to 40 tons per week between the two cities

MANILA, Philippines – Good news for Filipinos and those with family on the US West Coast — Philippine Airlines will offer more flights to Seattle.

Starting November 25, PAL will also offer Manila-Seattle-Manila flights every Tuesday and Thursday. Here is the new schedule:

  • Manila-Seattle via PR124 every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday: Flight leaves Manila at 10:40 pm, and arrives in Seattle at 7:35 pm or 6:35 pm on daylight savings time
  • Seattle-Manila via PR125 every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday: Flight leaves Seattle at 10:30 pm or 9:30 pm, arrives in Manila at 4:05 am (+2 days)

“We are focusing strongly on developing this growing market to help Americans plan their vacation trips to the Philippines and other Asian countries, to open up more opportunities for businesses to build up commercial activities, and for Filipino Americans to reunite more often with families back in the home country,” PAL president Richard Nuttall said in a statement on Thursday, July 3.

PAL operates the Manila-Seattle routes with a Boeing 777-300ER, which can carry 370 passengers — 42 in business class and 328 in economy. The increase in flight frequency will also allow the airline to increase cargo capacity up to 40 tons per week between the two cities.

PAL Cargo hopes to secure 9% total business share

The announcement comes just months after the flag carrier launched the Manila-Seattle route last October 2024.

PAL noted there is “growing travel demand to and from the US West Coast and beyond.”

“Our decision to increase frequencies to Seattle highlights the importance of the US market to the Philippines Airlines global network, and in particular the great vale of Seattle as a gateway, not just to the Washington and Oregon areas, but to cities across the United States that we can now serve through our ongoing partnership with Alaska Airlines,” said Nuttall.

The flag carrier now serves eight destinations in the United States and Canada, with nonstop flights to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, Honolulu, and Guam. – Rappler.com
