Inspired by the spirit of a traditional Kamayan feast—a communal meal served on banana leaves—this dinner celebrates abundance, community, and the foodways of the Philippines. At the helm are two leading voices in Filipino food—James Beard Award nominee® chef Nikko Cagalanan of Charleston’s Kultura and executive chef/partner Eric Valdez of New York City’s acclaimed Naks. The chefs will showcase the breadth and depth of Filipino cuisine and the deeply personal family recipes that shaped them, from coastal seafood dishes to slow-braised meats. Together, they honor their shared heritage as they continue to push the boundaries of Filipino cuisine across the American dining landscape—one generous table at a time.
