Nico Bolzico was on dad duties for his daughter Thylane and niece Dahlia on Sunday, as he took them to Ayala Triangle to watch a pole vault competition led by EJ Obiena.
On Instagram, the husband of Solenn Heussaff shared a video of EJ’s winning moment, showing Thylane and Dahlia cheering for the Filipino athlete.
“What [a] historical day for the Philippines yesterday!” Nico wrote.
“On our side, we were proud to support EJ, who brought the world of pole vaulting right here to Makati,” he added.
The social media personality and entrepreneur also shared two highlights from the event.
First, he said: “Filipino athletes can shine on the world stage if given the right opportunities.”
Second: “Sports unify, inspire, and open doors for everyone.”
Nico also said he has always hoped for Thylane to grow up loving sports. “And yesterday, for the first time, I saw her genuinely excited and amazed,” he said.
While Nico and the two kids were in Makati for the pole vault event, his brother-in-law, Erwan Heussaff, and wife Anne Curtis joined the “Trillion Peso March” at the EDSA People Power Monument.
The September 21 rally was in response to the alleged corruption in flood control projects in the country.
Aside from the “Trillion Peso March” in the afternoon, another protest was held earlier on Sunday at Rizal Park, dubbed “Baha sa Luneta: Aksyon na Laban sa Korapsyon.”
