San Diego, California โ€“ I was invited by the guys at https://www.boodlefightsd.com to come experience the incredible San Diego Filipino community with a traditional Filipino feast called a Boodle Fight or Kamayan.

This is a Filipino dining experience where you pile delicious Filipino food high on leaves and eat with your hand.

It was a great night of delicious Filipino food, incredible music, art, culture and the wonderful Filipino community of San Diego, California.

Boodle Fight IS NOT A TRADITION in the Philippines. Iโ€™m almost 70 and this boodle fight ONLY became popular a few years ago.

Actually this is called kamayan because you have to use your hand to eat. Liberty center is formerly the Navy Training Center (NTC), and is about half an hour from where I live. We sometimes visit there and shop. Maybe we could attend next year if they have it again. Food looks delicious.โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐ
