This year’s month-long celebration returns with intimate shows, music talks, and a message of unity through music

The stage is set for a powerful tribute to music, collaboration, and community as Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP25) launches its month-long celebration with the theme “LMP25: Ikaw. Ako. Tayo.” Organized by the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-Aawit (OPM), this year’s edition highlights the evolving story of Filipino music—one shaped by solidarity, creativity, and heart.
“We’re putting the spotlight on what makes Filipino music special—our culture of community and collaboration,” shared OPM Executive Director Gab Cabangon. “LMP25 is about bringing music back to the people, providing accessible spaces for performance, education, and inspiration.”
Running from July 1 to August 1, LMP25 features over 50 OPM artists, all members of the OPM organization, across multiple live shows, music talks, and workshops throughout Metro Manila. With its grassroots approach and inclusive programming, this year’s LMP aims to both entertain and empower a new generation of Filipino music creators and fans.
OPM Spotlight: LMP25 Live Performances
Throughout the month, OPM takes over key venues across Metro Manila with OPM Spotlight, a series of live performances featuring indie talents, emerging stars, and music icons. The lineup is 100% composed of OPM members, a historic first.
“We carefully curated the lineup to reflect the diversity of today’s Filipino music scene,” said Cabangon. “We’re excited to feature legends like Color It Red and Noel Cabangon, alongside rising acts like dwata, Solace Out the Door, and Tiara Shaye.”
LMP25 Music Talk Series – July 26 @ Greenhills Cinema

One of the key highlights this year is the LMP25 Music Talk Series, a half-day event designed to educate and inspire music professionals, students, and aspiring artists. Set on July 26 (Saturday), the sessions will feature industry veterans such as:
- Paolo & Miguel Guico of Ben&Ben
- Jim Paredes
- Jeli Mateo of Flip Music
- Shadiel Chan
Topics will include songwriting, arrangement, production, licensing, and artist rights—essential tools for navigating the creative and commercial sides of music.
“This initiative is about equipping artists with the knowledge to protect their work and thrive in the industry,” Cabangon explained. “We want the Music Talk Series to grow into a year-round platform for professional development.”
LMP25 Rockwell Series – July 24–30 @ Power Plant Mall
Catch daily acoustic sets and singer-songwriter showcases at Power Plant Mall in Makati from July 24 to 30, with shows happening at 12:00 NN and 5:00 PM. These performances offer a more intimate setting for audiences to connect with the music and the storytellers behind it—all of whom are part of the growing OPM family.
🇵🇭 Celebrating Progress, Honoring Roots
First launched in 2014 through Proclamation No. 933 by the late President Benigno Aquino III, Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino has grown into a vital platform for celebrating the richness and diversity of Filipino music. Now in its 11th year, LMP25 underscores OPM’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and community.
“LMP has always been about championing Filipino music,” said OPM Board Member Ogie Alcasid. “By bringing together legends and up-and-coming artists, we ensure that OPM continues to evolve while staying rooted in its mission.”
