Filipino-American guard Jordan Clarkson is officially part of the New York Knicks after completing a contract buyout with the Utah Jazz.
The move was also confirmed by the Knicks and Clarkson through a post on X.

Clarkson averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds last season with the Jazz. Since 2020, he leads the NBA in bench scoring with a total of 4,589 points.
He is expected to be a key part of the Knicks’ backcourt alongside Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Clarkson has played 11 seasons in the NBA, with career averages of 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 753 games. He previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Utah Jazz.
The Knicks also appointed Mike Brown as their new head coach, replacing Tom Thibodeau.
New York finished third in the Eastern Conference in the 2024–25 season with a 51–31 record but lost to the Indiana Pacers in the semifinals in a Game 7 series. The franchise has not won an NBA title since 1973.
