Another Pinoy pride moment for the Philippines as Filipina-American singer Jessica Sanchez continues to wow the global stage with her powerful vocal talent.
On Instagram, the talent competition show America’s Got Talent announced that the Pinay singer has advanced to the semi-finals.
She made it through to the next round thanks to votes from her fans in the United States.
“From AGT Season 1 to the AGT semifinals Jessica Sanchez is back and better than ever! Congrats on an unforgettable quarterfinals perfomance!” the show wrote.
For her first live performance in the quarterfinals, Jessica amazed audiences with a stunning rendition of Alex Warren’s “Ordinary.” What made it even more remarkable was that she performed while being eight months pregnant.
Earlier, Jessica earned a golden buzzer from judge Sofia Vergara for her emotional performance of Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” during the audition round.
“I think there’s something very special that happened on the stage with you. It’s so amazing that we’re on the 20th anniversary of AGT, the 20th season, and you’re here again after 20 years. You’re pregnant. You’re so beautiful. You’re so ready to do all this,” Sofia told Jessica.
“I really don’t understand what happened in these 20 years, but I guess they were meant to be because this is a special moment, and I think you deserve [the Golden Buzzer],” she added before pressing the golden buzzer.
Meanwhile, Jessica recently captivated online audiences with her powerful rendition of “Golden,” a song from the hit animated series K-Pop Demon Hunters. She performed it alongside TikTok singing duo Jonathan Tilkin and Anthony Gargiula, widely known for their viral kitchen singing series.
