‘Honor of Kings’ adds Tagalog language option in major update

Honor of Kings, which said to be the world’s most-played multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), has rolled out Tagalog localization as part of its latest major update, Honor of Kings Thrilling.

The update, released on September 24, allows players to switch both in-game text and voiceovers to Tagalog, catering to the game’s massive Filipino player base.

“Honor of Kings deeply values the Filipino community, one of our biggest and most active player bases. For us, Tagalog isn’t just a language — it’s comfort. Localizing the game makes every Filipino player feel right at home in HOK,” said Isabelle Eloriaga, product manager at Honor of Kings Philippines.

She added that the team is also considering support for other Philippine languages in the future.

To activate the new feature, players simply need to go to Settings, select Language, and choose “Tagalog” under both Language and Voice options. Downloading additional language packs may consume mobile data.

The Thrilling update also introduced new content, including the heroine Umbrosa, the Fallen Austren, a Spriteling companion, and the Ultimate Awakening game mode.

Popular Filipino streamers Leomiho and AkoSiDogie have also teased collaborations tied to the update, with more announcements expected through the game’s official social media channels.
