GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Foundation will return to downtown this weekend for its ninth year.
The free, family-friendly event takes place from 11 a.m. June 12 through 5 p.m., June 15, at Calder Plaza, 300 Monroe Ave. NW.
Attendees can expect a diverse lineup of traditional and contemporary experiences representing cultures across Asia and the Pacific Islands. The celebration includes live music, traditional dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, fashion shows, art exhibitions and a cultural parade.
“We’ve crafted a space where everyone is not just welcome but celebrated, where our differences are our strength, and where unity is the heartbeat of our community,” said Ace Marasigan, founder and executive director of the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Foundation. “Through food, music, and shared experiences, we unite as one.”
The three-day festival dates and hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.
