Globe launches vertical video streaming, portable 5G broadband

Globe Telecom has unveiled two new digital products aimed at making streaming and connectivity more accessible and flexible for Filipinos and the Filipino household — the Beetzee Play and the Globe At Home 5G Loop at “The Blueprint.”

Beetzee Play marks the country’s first “Piso-Serye” streaming platform, delivering bite-sized vertical video stories for as little as P1 per episode, while the Globe At Home 5G Loop debuts as the world’s first portable, touchscreen-powered 5G home broadband device.

Chelo Flores, director of Marketing Strategic Partnerships, presents ‘Beetzee Play,’ the first ‘Piso-Serye’ streaming platform in the Philippines.

According to Chelo Flores, Globe’s director of marketing strategic partnerships, Beetzee Play is designed to redefine mobile entertainment by removing the barriers often associated with traditional streaming services.

“Filipinos are natural storytellers, and we believe entertainment should spark connection, not just consumption. We’re reimagining content experiences to be instant, inclusive, and deeply personal. In a world of constant noise and fleeting attention, these innovations offer meaningful moments that stand out, whether it’s a one-peso episode that turns idle time into escape, or a shared screen that fosters real connection across distances,” Flores said during the media launch.

Accessible through the GlobeOne app, Beetzee Play requires no extra downloads, no subscription fees, and no long episodes. Users can watch bite-sized, vertical video stories, with free access to the first few episodes. Payment can be made seamlessly through GCash.

Flores said what sets Beetzee apart is its focus on locally made stories. Its first original film, “Saving Sarah,” is already live on the platform. A new film, “First Things First,” is streaming exclusively on GlobeOne until September 5.

“More than just content, it’s a new way for content discovery. We’re serving up entertainment that’s affordable, accessible, and designed for your five-minute break. It’s intelligent, culturally resonant, and it fits seamlessly into the rhythms of Filipino life,” Flores added.

Meanwhile, the company also unveiled the Globe At Home 5G Loop, a portable broadband device offering fiber-like speeds with unlimited data, which Globe describes as the first of its kind in the world.

Abby Cardino, vice president of Broadband Business, highlights ‘Globe At Home 5G Loop,’ the world’s first 5G-powered portable home broadband device.

The launches fall under Globe’s “Designing Delight” innovation pillar, part of its broader thrust to make digital services more inclusive.

On the other hand, inclusive innovation included in the event are “Foundations of Progress,” helping enterprises translate complex technology into actionable strategies to support growth with resilience and agility. It also introduces solutions “Built Around You,” with digital touchpoints designed to reduce friction and anticipate customer needs. Projects like GoGIVE empower young Filipinos to create lasting impact through their everyday phone use.

At the same time, Globe ensures these journeys are “Secure by Design,” embedding protection into every interaction with tools like Scam Shield and advanced cybersecurity features. It also delivers “Value by Design” with hyper-personalized offers, seamless upgrades, and loyalty benefits tailored to each customer’s journey.

“At Globe, we believe innovation must always serve a greater purpose. The Blueprint is a reminder that every product we build, every service we design, is meant to make daily life easier, safer, and more meaningful for Filipinos. By keeping inclusivity at the heart of our journey, we ensure progress is something every Filipino can share in,” Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said.
