The lights of Times Square will shine with a touch of Filipino fantasy this September as Filipino American fashion designer Rojen Morris unveils her Encantadia Sang’gre-inspired couture collection at New York Fashion Week on September 13, 2025.
This highly anticipated showcase at Duffy Square marks her 14th season at NYFW and the second time she is bringing the world of the Sang’gre sisters to life on the runway. The first was in 2021, and now Morris is ready to reignite the magic—this time, right in the heart of the world’s most iconic stage.
The show promises to be more than a fashion presentation. It is a cultural celebration, weaving Filipino heritage, fantasy storytelling, and pure nostalgia. Adding to the spectacle is the official soundtrack “Tadhana” performed by Bayang Barrios and Glaiza de Castro (GMA), which Morris says will bring “an extra layer of magic and emotion” to the experience.
“I was very excited about the spin-off Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre. Even here in the US, I still watch the show every day. I am a big fan, and I think the whole world needs to hear about it and watch it,” Morris shared. “Bringing this collection to New York is my way of sharing that magic with everyone.”
Fashion with a mission
For Morris, fashion has never been just about garments—it’s about storytelling and advocacy. Through her label Rojen Morris Couture, founded in 2019, she has consistently used her platform to spotlight social issues and champion inclusivity. Her past collections have carried powerful messages, from raising awareness about heart health to confronting the realities of domestic violence and mental health struggles.
True to her vision, her NYFW shows are celebrated for breaking stereotypes. Models of all ages, sizes, abilities, and ethnicities walk her runways, reflecting her philosophy that beauty and strength come in all forms.
Rooted in heritage, reaching the world
Born in Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental, Morris now resides in Charleston, West Virginia, but her heart remains deeply tied to Filipino culture. Bringing Encantadia—a fantasy series beloved across the Philippines—onto the global fashion stage is both personal and symbolic. It bridges her childhood memories with her mission to amplify Filipino creativity for international audiences.
