MANILA – Former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Royina Garma left the country Sunday night, a day after she arrived in the country from the United States, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

In a statement on Monday, the BI said Garma, also a retired police colonel, boarded a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City at around 10:43 p.m.

“She left as a tourist for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3,” the BI said.

The BI said it followed the procedure set in the immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) issued against Garma and reported her departure to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Garma, who arrived in the country on Saturday night from Los Angeles, California, is the subject of an ILBO dated Nov. 15, 2024 in connection with two separate cases filed in 2016 and 2020 identifying her as a person of interest.

“Upon verification, there was no hold departure order or warrant of arrest issued against her,” the BI said.

The National Bureau of Investigation and Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) earlier filed murder and frustrated murder complaints against Garma in connection with the killing of PCSO board secretary Wesley Barayuga in July 2020.

She was also being linked to the 2016 deaths of three alleged Chinese drug lords. (PNA)
