The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has renewed its partnership with digital media company Globaltronics, Inc. to promote Filipino digital creatives on the global stage and drive innovation-led economic growth.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on June 4 at the Office of the Secretary, 14F Filinvest Building, reinforcing a strategic alliance under DTI’s flagship Malikhaing Pinoy Program.
Through the Creative Industries Development Office (CIDO), the agreement highlights DTI’s ongoing mission to elevate Filipino creativity and innovation as key contributors to national identity and global competitiveness.
“This partnership affirms our commitment to harnessing creativity and technology as key drivers of inclusive and sustainable growth,” said DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque.
“Collaborating with industry leaders like Globaltronics opens more avenues for Filipino creatives to innovate, compete, and thrive in the global digital economy.”
The collaboration aligns with the Bagong Pilipinas directive to foster inclusive, innovation-driven progress by integrating digital platforms, cultural engagement, and public spaces to showcase Filipino talent.
Key initiatives under the renewed agreement include the relaunch of the Malikhaing Pinoy Program in September 2025 and continued support for the National Digital Arts Awards (NDAA), which recognize excellence in digital creativity among Filipino artists.
“This MOU gives us a renewed purpose to use our platforms to empower Filipino creatives,” said Globaltronics CEO William T. Guido. “Together with DTI, we are committed to illuminating the future of Philippine digital artistry through our digital out-of-home (DOOH) media platforms.”
Globaltronics pledged to expand opportunities for Filipino creatives by supporting new product development, creating dedicated creative hubs, and advocating for policies that sustain growth across the sector.
The company also emphasized inclusive innovation and talent development as core principles in helping Filipino digital artists gain international recognition.
DTI officials present during the signing included Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza D. Bautista of the Competitiveness and Innovation Group and CIDO Officer-in-Charge Director Lilian G. Salonga.
From Globaltronics, Chief Revenue Officer Gary Reyes joined CEO Guido to formalize the commitment.
The Philippine creative economy is a significant contributor to GDP, with over PHP 1.6 trillion in value generated in 2022 according to the Philippine Statistics Authority.
DTI’s efforts to scale this sector include building export-ready creative enterprises, advancing creative education, and improving the visibility of Filipino innovation in global markets.
