Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Dia Mate and Filipina drag icon Marina Summers are among the performers in this year’s Pride March event.
The non-profit organization Pride PH announced this year’s lineup in a recent social media post, with the festival set to take place on June 28 at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City.
Mate is fresh from her victory as the second Reina Hispanoamericana queen, following Filipino actress Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez’s win in 2017.
Aside from her pageantry career, Mate is also a singer and songwriter like her boyfriend musician JK Labajo.
Marina, on the other hand, recently made history as the first Filipino drag queen to grace the red carpet of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Aside from Mate and Marina, other artists set to grace the stage include rising OPM artists Raven Heyres, Paul Pablo, Kumare Harvey, Stef Aranas, Nica Del Rosario, Justine Peña and Matthew Chang, as well as the Barefoot Theatre Collaborative.
Filipino dance groups such as Ballroom PH, Femme MNL and the Saliwindakan Dance Company are also expected to perform at the Pride celebration. More guest performers are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The organization also tapped “Drag Den” Season 1 winner NAIA Black, broadcast journalist Jervi “Kaladkaren” Wrightson, artist-creators Aaron Maniego, Bong Gonzales and Christian Antolin, and content creators Pipay, Sassa Gurl, AC Soriano, Ate Dick, Queen Dura, Sophie Prime and Dong Pat to serve as this year’s hosts.
The cast of the upcoming lesbian film “Open Endings,” Janella Salvador, Jasmine Curtis, Klea Pineda and Leanne Mamonong, are also expected to make an appearance at the colorful parade.
The cast of the series “Love at First Sight,” led by Emilio Daez, along with the ensemble of the film “Some Nights I Feel Like Walking” and “Sparks Camp” Season 3 contestants, will also be present at the event. /ra
