The Coachella Valley Filipino Festival will return Nov. 15 to a new location in downtown Palm Springs after a successful inaugural event in 2023 drew thousands of attendees.
The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Downtown Park, located next to the Forever Marilyn statue in the heart of Palm Springs. Admission is free and open to the public.
The cultural celebration originally launched in 2023 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, featuring dozens of vendors, international musical acts including Junior New System and Ruby Ibarra, traditional dance performances and Filipino martial arts demonstrations. The event was hosted by Filipino American local celebrity Manny the Movie Guy.
After taking 2024 off to regroup and expand, organizers say this year’s festival will offer more food, music and cultural experiences for attendees.
“We are so excited to bring this celebration back to the Coachella Valley after the success of our 2023 event,” said Michael Milan, festival organizer. “It was truly special to see generations come together in shared cultural pride, and this year we look forward to welcoming the community with exciting entertainment, delicious food, and meaningful connections in the heart of Palm Springs.”
The family-friendly event aims to serve both those reconnecting with Filipino heritage and newcomers discovering Filipino traditions and cuisine for the first time.
Vendor applications are currently open for food and artisan businesses that highlight Filipino culture. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations seeking to support cultural diversity and community connection.
The Coachella Valley Filipino Festival operates as a program of the nonprofit Palm Springs Cultural Center. Milan and Lauren Wolfer serve as producers, with support from community partners, volunteers and sponsors.
