Fresh off the release of his second solo album “Echo,” BTS member Jin has set fans buzzing after revealing he dreams of collaborating with Grammy-winning Filipino American artist Bruno Mars.

The candid confession came during his appearance on BuzzFeed’s “Puppy Interview,” where the K-pop idol answered fan questions while playing with adorable puppies.

“I’ve only met him in passing but I’d love to collab with Bruno Mars one day,” said the K-pop superstar, known offstage as Kim Seok-jin. “I’m a huge fan of him. I often practiced my vocals by singing ‘Just the Way You Are’ before debut. It’s one of my favorite songs.”

Jin also expressed admiration for “APT.,” Bruno Mars’ previous collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Rosé, showing his appreciation for the artist’s ability to transcend genres and cultures.

Though the two have yet to properly connect, Jin’s statement left fans hopeful that a team-up between the global icons might one day come to life.

The singer is currently preparing for his “RunSeokjin Ep.” world tour, which kicks off in South Korea on June 28, shortly after BTS bandmate Suga completes his alternative military service on June 21. This marks Jin’s return to the spotlight following his own military discharge earlier this year.

Reflecting on his creative process, Jin shared that he’s been looping his own songs lately – not out of vanity, but necessity.

Jin shared that during the production process, he was so focused on reviewing individual tracks and selecting which ones to include that he rarely had the chance to experience the album in full. But now that Echo is officially out on streaming platforms, he’s been enjoying the opportunity to listen to the entire project from start to finish.

With renewed focus, Jin also mentioned hitting the gym to prepare for his tour. “I started exercising again because I need to get my stamina up,” he said. “This time around, I wanna meet more of my fans.”

As BTS edges closer to a full-group reunion by mid-2025, Jin’s solo momentum is building anticipation, not just for his future performances, but also for the possibility of a chart-topping duet with Bruno Mars.
