The young nephew of Blackpink’s Jisoo is set to study in the Philippines, as shared by the K-pop idol’s sister on social media.
Jisoo’s older sister, Ji Yoon, recently took to Instagram to share a picture of her son, Minsung, at the airport en route to the Philippines.
“Have a good [time studying] in the Philippines, Minsung [plane, Philippine flag, heart sign emojis],” she captioned the photo. Ji Yoon also shared a photo of Minsung hugging his father before he boarded the plane.
Ji Yoon is a former flight attendant turned lifestyle influencer and freelance model. She resigned from aviation after she gave birth to her two children.

Meanwhile, Jisoo rose to fame as one of the members of Blackpink. In March 2025, she held her first solo fan meet Asia tour, “Lights, Love, Action!,” with its opening stop in Manila, making the Philippines the first international location for her solo project.
The fan meeting coincided with the release of her debut solo EP “Amortage,” which dropped on February 14, 2025. Her EP “Amortage” includes standout tracks like “Earthquake,” “Your Love,” “Tears,” and “Hugs & Kisses.”
During the Manila fan meet, Jisoo charmed the audience by saying Tagalog phrases like “Mahal kita, BLINKs!” and “Masaya ba kayo?” Before the fan meet, the K-pop idol was also spotted filming her upcoming K-drama “Boyfriend on Demand” in Cebu, co-starring with Seo In-Guk and Chae Soo-Bin.
Prior to her departure from YG Entertainment in early 2024, Jisoo founded her own label, Blisoo, to manage her solo career. She is also active in acting, recently appearing in the zombie thriller “Newtopia,” and romance drama “Snowdrop,” among others.
Jisoo is set to return to the Philippines alongside her Blackpink members in November for their “Deadline” world tour. /edv
