Filipino American racer Bianca Bustamante has shared a raw and emotional glimpse into the physical battles she faces in pursuit of her motorsport dreams.
In a recent Instagram post, the 20-year-old athlete admitted that this season has stretched her beyond her limits.
“This year has really pushed me beyond my physical limits… always constantly feeling I’m chasing something so out of reach,” she wrote, explaining that her training often takes place nearly every day, sometimes even twice a day depending on her body’s condition.

Bustamante, who stands at 5’2” and weighs 53 kilograms, candidly described how her size presents challenges in the cockpit. She revealed that the steering wheel and pedals are often difficult to reach, forcing her to maximize foam adjustments in her seat.
“I’ve never let my physical limitations hinder my performance but in reality the higher I go up in category the more g-force my body has to withstand,” she said, stressing that she remains determined to power through.
Her commitment to the sport goes beyond the track, as she spends countless hours in the gym to build strength.
Bustamante described these training sessions as “silent battles” that prepare her to withstand the demands of racing. “That’s why I’m absolutely giving it my all day in and day out in the gym, willing to bleed for this sport endlessly,” she shared.

The young driver also reflected on one of her “toughest weekends” of the GB3 season at Brands Hatch. While she had made progress in previous races, she admitted that the recent setback tested her confidence and physical resilience.
“Bad days build you up but… this has been one of the toughest weekends of my GB3 season. Struggled with confidence but mostly strength,” she admitted, though she reaffirmed her resolve to keep pushing forward.
Despite the challenges, Bustamante remains focused on adapting, improving and proving that her size and stature are no match for her drive and determination.
