LOS ANGELES 08 September 2025 — The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles proudly hosted the launch of “PRA x PAL SRRV Program” on 27 August 2025 at the Consulate General’s Community Hall.

The Philippine Retirement Authority, in partnership with Philippine Airlines (PAL), announced that holders of the Philippines’ Special Resident Retiree Visa (SRRV) are now entitled to an exclusive discount on PAL flights (5% for economy class fares/ 8% for business class fares) originating from U.S. gateways and vice-versa.

Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz delivered the welcome remarks and he proudly noted that this partnership was conceptualized in Los Angeles, during PRA’s first visit in 2024.

Mr. Mervin Magbuhat, Division Chief of PRA’s Marketing Department briefed the community about the details and updates in the PRA’s SRRV program. Mr. Jomito Torres, PAL OIC and Area Manager for Sales, outlined PAL’s exclusive incentive offer for SRRV holders. This is the first collaboration between the PRA and PAL and both parties are optimistic that this partnership will continue to expand.

The SRRV is a special visa-type open to all nationalities, including former Filipinos, which allows the holder to retire in the Philippines, subject to meeting various requirements. The management and implementation of the SRRV program is handled by the Philippine Retirement Authority, a government agency attached to the Philippines’ Department of Tourism.

The program launch was attended by nearly one hundred members of the Filipino-American community representing various organizations, chambers of commerce, assisted living and senior care companies, local government and media partners. The event was also livestreamed via Post’s official Facebook page and can be viewed at https://fb.watch/BUbTlP3QPh/. END
