Bruno Yuson and Enid Sinclair’s split in the hit Netflix series “Wednesday” took viewers by surprise as they ended their relationship in Filipino, paying homage to Bruno’s roots.

In the sixth episode of “Wednesday” season two, Bruno (Noah B. Taylor) secretly took a phone call from his lover, who pretended to be his mother, after receiving a message in Filipino.

“Miss na kita. Miss ko na ‘yung pagpasyal natin sa beach. Miss ko na lalo ‘yung mga matamis na labi mo. Baba ko na ‘to, mahal ko (I miss you. I miss our walks on the beach. Most of all, I miss your sweet lips),” Bruno told his apparent lover during a phone call.

The phone call was not received well by Enid (Emma Myers) — whose body was possessed by Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) after a supernatural switch — who was angry with her boyfriend’s unfaithful behavior.

Despite Bruno claiming that he was talking to his “mother,” Enid said it was “too close” for it to be considered as such. The latter then mocked their conversation before breaking up with him in Filipino.

“Miss na kita. Miss ko na ‘yung pagpasyal natin sa beach. Miss ko na lalo ‘yung mga matamis na labi mo (I miss you. I miss our walks on the beach. Most of all, I miss your sweet lips),” Enid said mockingly, before calling him out for having a girlfriend behind her back.

The confused Bruno then asked Enid how she knew Tagalog, to which the latter said she learned it from Datu, her “Filipino fencing instructor.” The werewolf then defended himself, reiterating that his situation was “complicated.”

“Then let me uncomplicate it. We’re done. Huwag mo na akong kausapin, manlolokong taksil (Don’t talk to me again, you unfaithful cheater),” Enid said in response.

Bruno Yuson was introduced as a werewolf in Nevermore Academy with a Filipino heritage. Despite his supernatural abilities, he can still get injured and go through aging.

Based on the story of the Addams family, “Wednesday” tells the story of Wednesday Friday Addams, who is often obsessed with anything related to violence and anything morbid. The second part of season two was released on Sept. 3./mcm
