Bretman Rock said he understands the public outrage toward the so-called nepo babies in the Philippines, stressing it enrages him as well seeing them flaunting their “lavish lifestyle and questionable, ugly fashion choices.”
Through his Instagram Stories, the Filipino-American social media personality gave his two cents on the public scrutiny over children of politicians and private contractors involved in the allegedly anomalous flood control projects under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Bretman was initially discussing the supposed reaction of his followers to his use of the terms “dialects” and “languages” when he later changed the topic.
“There is bigger fishes to m****f******* fry, especially in the Philippines right now,” he said.
“Like these m****f****** nepo babies using up people’s money to buy and fund their lavish lifestyle and some of their questionable, ugly fashion choices,” he continued while expressing disgust.
Bretman, whose post has now expired but has been re-uploaded by netizens on TikTok, further noted that he saw a video featuring a nepo baby, although he opted not to expound who it was.
“They really need to invest on a stylist before they invest on these m****f******* fashion stuff, because I agree—I would be mad, too, if I was funding these babies’ life and they’re buying ugly things. l would be mad. Trust,” he concluded.

Prior to Bretman, several celebrities have also spoken up on the issues concerning nepo babies and the allegedly anomalous flood control projects. Among them were Anne Curtis, Bianca Gonzalez, Pokwang, Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli. /ra
