KELOWNA, Canada — Filipino-American actress Eva Noblezada is heading back to the West End for the revival of “Cabaret,” reprising her Broadway role of Sally Bowles.
She will be joined by her fiance and “Hadestown” co-star Reeve Carney, who will play the Emcee, beginning September 22 at the Playhouse Theatre.
The celebrity couple will stay in their roles until January 24. Joe Atkinson and Marina Tavolieri will portray the Emcee and Sally from October 22 to November 5.
Eva and Reeve joined the Broadway revival of “Cabaret” earlier this year in the August Wilson Theatre.
The West End show is close to Eva’s heart as she made her stage debut during a revival of “Miss Saigon” a decade ago when she was a teenager.
She played the main role of Kim, which was originated on both Broadway and the West End by Filipino actress Lea Salonga, who later received Tony and Olivier awards for her performances.
After “Miss Saigon,” Eva played Eponine in “Les Miserables” then joined the Broadway revival of the former. Her next London gig was “Hadestown” at the Royal National Theatre.

Eva played Eurydice opposite Reeve’s Orpheus, both later transferring to Broadway where the production won eight of its 13 Tony nominations, including Best Musical, and Eva received her first Tony nod.
The actress then played Daisy Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby” in New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse and Broadway’s Broadway Theatre. She returned to West End to reprise Eurydice in “Hadestown” earlier this year, again opposite Reeve.
Eve and Reeve announced their engagement last March, six years after meeting on “Hadestown.”
“Cabaret” is a musical set in 1929-30 Berlin as the Jazz Age becomes eclipsed by the rise of Nazism, centering on the relationship between Kit Kat Klub performer Sally and writer Clifford Bradshaw.
The original Broadway production from 1966 won eight of its 11 Tony nominations, including Best Musical, and was later adapted into a 1972 film by Bob Fosse starring Liza Minnelli as Sally.
The movie lost Best Picture to “The Godfather” but won eight other nominations, including Best Director for Bob and Best Actress for Liza, making it the film with the most Oscars sans the top prize.
