MANILA, Philippines — Digital entertainment company DigiPlus Interactive Corp. of tycoon Eusebio Tanco saw its profit balloon by more than half in the first semester, driven by the continued growth in its retail games segment as well as contributions from new product offerings and operational efficiencies.
DigiPlus, operator of digital entertainment platforms BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone, recorded a net income of P8.4 billion in the first half, a 61-percent hike from a year ago.
For the second quarter alone, its net income climbed by 30 percent year-on-year to P4.20 billion.
Revenues for the first half surged by 47 percent to P47.78 billion on the back of increased business activity and the rollout of new games and licenses approved by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Underscoring its position among key regional businesses, DigiPlus was included for the second consecutive year in the Fortune 500 Southeast Asia list.
It was also awarded Digital Operator of the Year at the 2025 Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific, highlighting the company’s continued efforts to deliver world-class digital entertainment, drive innovation and uphold commitment to global responsible gaming standards.
As the Philippine online gambling industry undergoes heightened scrutiny and legislative review, DigiPlus is assuming a wider industry role in leading the fight against illegal gambling and championing a safer and more sustainable online gambling industry for the country.
DigiPlus earlier this month joined the Interim Council of the PlaySafe Alliance of the Philippines, which was formally signed into agreement by 19 founding organizations.
“This alliance is not about competition—it’s about collaboration,” DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco said.
“By working as one, we can ensure that online gambling in the Philippines becomes more secure, transparent and beneficial to both players and the nation,” he said.
DigiPlus has reiterated its commitment to responsible business practices and meaningful community engagement amid a currently evolving regulatory landscape.
“DigiPlus believes that collaboration and transparency are essential to fostering a safer, more sustainable industry that benefits players, stakeholders and the broader Filipino community. Together with its partners and peers, DigiPlus looks forward to building a resilient future for digital entertainment in the Philippines,” the company said.
