MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Filipino lifestyle brand Gouache unveils its latest capsule collection in collaboration with Anthill Fabrics, celebrating the enduring spirit of local craftsmanship, sustainable practice and the everyday Filipino creative.
Titled the Gouache x Anthill collection, the new line masterfully intertwines Gouache’s signature utilitarian silhouettes with Anthill’s vibrant, handwoven textiles. The result: a dynamic collection of bags, caps, aprons, and vests that tell stories of community, culture and conscious design.

“This collaboration felt like something that was always meant to happen,” shares Ann Enriquez-Poco, co-founder of Gouache. “When they introduced us to their woven Hablon and Kantarines in modern plaid and stripe patterns, we were immediately drawn in. The weaves felt fresh and contemporary, yet carried the depth of generations of craft – an ideal complement to our signature utilitarian silhouettes like totes, slings, and vests. But the partnership wasn’t just about adding color or flair. The fabrics brought rhythm and warmth to each piece.”

This creative partnership finds its soul in shared values. Both brands are known for elevating Filipino artisanship through slow, intentional production. Gouache is revered for its durable waxed canvas goods, handcrafted in its Marikina workshop. Anthill (Alternative Nest and Trading/Training Hub for Indigenous/Ingenious Little Livelihood Seekers), on the other hand, is celebrated for its advocacy-driven work with weaving communities across the Philippines – many of which are women-led and intergenerational.
In line with the sustainability ethos, the brand produces in small batches to minimize waste and ensure quality. Locally sourced materials and meticulous handwork define each product, from initial design to final stitch.
