  • Wow! Congratulations Ms. Hidilyn Diaz and the Philippines! Philippines defeated again the evil Communist China, fair and square!

  • The significance of a gold medal has surpassed the individual. Diaz is not carrying dumbbells, but the glory of the entire Philippines.

  • Impressive!!! Who knew that a Filipina, the daughter of a former farmer and tricycle driver, could overcome poverty, adversity, and hardships to become so strong???

  • Too bad the venue wasn't packed, the crowd would have roared the roof off!

  • So proud of Hidilyn! May God keep blessing you and your family.

  • First Olympic champion.. of the philippines hidilyn diaz. WoW….👏👏👏👏.. well deserve…👍👍👍👍

  • You can never fully gasp the turmoil and torment this woman went through just to get to the Olympics to get that gold. She had so much dirt and grit against her that no one wanted to sponsor her to get her too the Olympics. Fortunately someone saw potential in her and sent her to The Olympics. She trained hard with just what she could find to act as weightlifting equipment, giant water jugs on a metal pole, makeshift equipment. This is a true Olympian if I ever saw one. You go Diaz!

  • Watched this i dont know how many times. THANK YOU Heidilyn!!! ❤️🙏🏻

  • When she hit that lift and started crying. I wanted to cry with her
