Filipino-American actor Conrad Ricamora has been announced as part of the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Ricamora will be joining Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, who are set to reprise their role as Andrea Sachs, Miranda Priestly, Emily Charlton, and Nigel, respectively.
Among the other new faces in the upcoming film are Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, and Paul Chalamet.
Joining them is Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, who will portray the husband of the feisty fashion editor Miranda Priestly, according to a report by Variety.
Further details, including the characters of Ricamora and the other additional cast members in the sequel, have yet to be announced.
Ricamora is best known for his portrayal of Oliver Hampton on the hit murder drama How to Get Away with Murder.
He is also a stage actor who became popular for his roles in the original Off-Broadway musicals, including Here Lies Love and Soft Power, as well as in Oh, Mary!, for which he received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play nomination.
Ricamora is also a two-time Grammy Award and Lucille Lortel Award nominee.
Earlier in July, 20th Century Studios announced that the sequel is officially in production via an Instagram reel.
The sequel is said to center on “devil” Miranda as she continues her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She will face off against Blunt’s character, who is now a “high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
Released in 2006, The Devil Wears Prada is based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. It was known to have been inspired by her time working for Vogue and its editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, who recently stepped down from her post after nearly four decades.
The film follows a recent college journalism graduate, Andy, who was hired as an assistant for Miranda, a job that “a million girls would kill for.” While she initially struggles with her boss’ impossible demands, she soon finds herself sucked into the world of high fashion and the “Runway” philosophy.
David Frankel and Aline Brosh McKenna, who directed and wrote the original film, are returning for the sequel.
Streep, Blunt, and Hathaway recently had a mini-reunion at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2024, where they referenced some memorable lines from the film as they presented the nominees.
The Devil Wears Prada sequel is coming to theaters on May 1, 2026.
