Acer continues its market dominance in the Philippine personal computer industry, securing the #1 spot for Q1 2025 with an impressive 35.7% total market share, according to leading research firm GfK. Acer also captured 34.2% of the consumer notebook market and a commanding 40.6% share in the gaming laptop segment, solidifying its status as the top choice for Filipino consumers.

Momentum carried into April, where Acer’s notebook category soared to a 36% market share, reinforcing its leadership position in the highly competitive market.
Behind Acer’s continued success is a well-executed, multi-faceted marketing strategy—anchored in authentic partnerships, compelling storytelling, and deep audience engagement. A shining example of this is Acer’s long-running collaboration with SB19, the “Kings of P-pop,” whose influence has played a significant role in keeping the brand top-of-mind, especially among Gen Z and millennial audiences.
“Our partnership with SB19 works because we share the same values and energy,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director at Acer Philippines. “Their strong social media presence and ability to create engaging, authentic content have allowed us to connect with our customers on a deeper level.”
The partnership began years before their official endorsement of Acer and Acerpure in 2021, and has since evolved into a full-fledged brand alliance. Most recently, Acer co-presented SB19’s “Simula at Wakas” world tour stop in Taiwan, further amplifying fan engagement and global brand visibility.

As part of their Taiwan visit, SB19 stepped into the role of “one-day Acer employees,” immersing themselves in the brand’s innovations at Acer’s Taipei headquarters. They explored the company’s product experience center, tested out cutting-edge gaming laptops, and even tried the FreeSense Ring, a smart wearable from Acer Fashion. The group also joined a creative workshop, sharing ideas on future laptop aesthetics and modern home solutions.
In a special moment, Acer Chairman and CEO Jason Chen and Pan-Asia Pacific President Andrew Hou welcomed SB19 personally and gifted each member with a Predator Helios 18 gaming laptop, celebrating the strength and future of this impactful partnership.
Now celebrating its fifth year, the Acer x SB19 collaboration shows no signs of slowing down, with both parties looking forward to even more creative collaborations and milestone achievements in the years ahead.
