Cheez Whiz and Ninja Monkeys Launch “Strong Kid Camp”

Cheez Whiz and Ninja Monkeys have teamed up to launch the first-ever “Strong Kid Camp,” empowering kids with the strength to do more.

With 8 out of 10 Filipino kids not getting enough physical activity, according to the latest DOST-FNRI National Nutrition Survey, there’s growing concern over how this trend affects the next generation. But one iconic brand is stepping up to change that. Cheez Whiz, the Philippines’ well-loved cheese spread, is taking action—raising awareness and offering real solutions to help kids grow stronger and more confident through a balance of active play and proper nutrition.

“This is a serious concern that needs urgent attention,” said Dr. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa, retired Scientist IV and former Director of DOST-FNRI. “Lack of physical activity can hinder kids’ muscle and bone development, affect joint stability, and increase long-term health risks.”

She emphasized that nutrients such as Calcium, Phosphorus, and Vitamins A and D are crucial to supporting children’s growth and physical development.

Cheez Whiz has long been a staple in Filipino households—and now, it’s also a partner in raising strong, active kids. Packed with Calcium, Vitamins A and D, and Phosphorus, Cheez Whiz helps build strength from within, fueling children as they move, explore, and take on everyday challenges.

🏃‍♂️ Active Play in Action: The Strong Kid Camp

To bring this advocacy to life, Cheez Whiz launched the Strong Kid Camp on May 31 and June 1 at the Bridgetowne Obstacle Park—a dynamic, kid-friendly playground designed to get children moving, trying new things, and building strength while having fun.

In partnership with Ninja Monkeys Philippines, a youth obstacle course training club founded by multi-awarded athlete Kaizen Dela Serna, the camp featured action-packed challenges including the Z-Wall, Monkey Bars, Balance Beam, and Ring Bar. Each station was designed to test strength, balance, coordination, and confidence.

Over 290 kids, cheered on by enthusiastic parents, stepped up to the course—growing more determined with every obstacle conquered, and more aware of the importance of fueling their bodies right.

“When kids stay physically active, they build muscles, improve coordination, and toughen up—physically and mentally,” shared Kaizen Dela Serna.
