Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas vision.

Representing the DTI Secretary Cristina Roque, Assistant Secretary Leonila Baluyut delivered remarks during the opening ceremony, celebrating the 127th anniversary of Philippine independence and highlighting the DTI’s active role in supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and national pride through the Tatak Pinoy campaign.

“Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang ipinagdiriwang sa mga parada at paggunita sa nakaraan—ito ay isinasabuhay sa araw-araw nating pagkilos upang palakasin ang kabuhayan ng bawat Pilipino,” Baluyut said.

The DTI deployed 62 tents for the two-day celebration, featuring 124 MSMEs under the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program. These booths offered affordable goods to the public, directly supporting small enterprises and local producers. A significant portion of the DTI’s exhibit space was also dedicated to promoting its Tatak Pinoy initiative, which seeks to elevate Filipino products, creativity, and innovation.

Meanwhile, the DTI staff were present to assist event-goers with inquiries regarding the agency’s various programs and services, ensuring that those with DTI-related concerns were guided accordingly.

“Our goal is to make the Filipino product the first choice—here at home and around the world,” said Baluyut. “Through Tatak Pinoy, we are not only celebrating our identity but creating pathways for our local industries to flourish.” The Pampamahalaang Programa at Serbisyo 2025 runs from June 10 to 11 and forms part of the larger Independence Day festivities. DTI’s participation is a testament to its continuing mission to build a stronger, more inclusive economy through enterprise development and nation branding. ♦
