A’TIN, the wait is almost over! After Qatar rocked with Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo, jammed with the Eraserheads, and vibed to Gloc-9 and December Avenue, a new musical storm is brewing. SB19, the Philippines’ most globally celebrated Pinoy Pop (P-Pop) pride, is finally making their way to the Doha stage for the first time.
P-Pop Royalty to Global Stage
On October 17, the Philippines’ global pop phenomenon will land in Qatar for the Doha leg of their “Simula at Wakas” World Tour, ready to electrify the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) with their genre-defining energy, fierce choreography, and message of Filipino pride.
From viral hits to sold-out arenas across the globe, SB19’s journey from local legends to international icons reaches new heights — and this time, it’s not just a concert, but a revolution in rhythm.
“We knew we had to make this happen,” says John Martin, Event Manager at Qabayan Radio. “It all began in 2024. We had already set our sights on bringing SB19 to Qatar. Having seen the Pagtatag! World Tour firsthand, we knew this wasn’t just a concert — it was a cultural movement,” he added.
“Even grandmothers were chanting LSB (Ligaya, Saya, Buhay), which means Joy, Happiness, Life, as the SB19 fandom (A’TIN) popularly interprets it,” quipped Martin.
Countdown to History
Following the roaring success of their Pagtatag! World Tour — which captivated 18 cities from the Philippines to North America, Canada to Japan — SB19’s latest tour is coming to Doha.
On October 1, a countdown launch event at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa kicked off the final 17-day stretch, attended by media, sponsors, and social media influencers. The atmosphere was electric.
During the kickoff, it was highlighted that beyond being a concert, the show is a powerful celebration of culture and pride — offering Filipinos in Qatar a rare opportunity to see their homegrown idols on one of the Middle East’s premier stages.
Cultural Celebration
For the Filipino community in Qatar, which forms one of the country’s largest expat groups, this isn’t just a concert. It’s a homecoming and a flag raised with pride.
“This event proves that Doha is a global stage for international talent,” said Engr. Ressie Fos, Qabayan Radio’s Operations & Media Relations Head.
“It’s time for Qatar and the world to see how exceptional Filipino artists truly are,” he added.
Powered by Passion
Organised by Qabayan Radio, presented by Qatar Calendar and powered by Papa John’s, this concert is a milestone for Philippine entertainment abroad.
Salim Kainikkara, Managing Director of Qabayan Radio, emphasized: “Our mission is to position Qatar as a true global hub for international acts. This is another step forward.”
Tickets Demand
Demand for tickets has been nothing short of explosive, that the ticketing site crashed on day one.
With VVIP and VIP tickets sold out in under 24 hours, fans are scrambling to secure the remaining slots. Limited seats remain available via Q-Tickets and S City.
