When I interviewed Kaila Estrada for this column last January, I asked her, “What if your ‘Incognito’ co-star Daniel Padilla courts you?” She didn’t budge.
Then, I asked what kind of guy she would fall for. Her reply was, “I have a long list (laughs). But the most important thing would be someone who supports my career and makes an effort to have a relationship with my family and is God-fearing.”
As of press time, Kaila and DJ (Daniel Padilla) have not made an official statement about their rumored relationship. Perhaps, they would rather live up to the title of their hit series by keeping their romance incognito for the meantime.
So, I asked Kaila’s dad, who’s a close friend of mine, John Estrada, for his thoughts about his fab daughter being linked to DJ.
Here goes… “Kaila is an adult, and aside from that, I trust her judgment and her smarts. At wala syang ginagawang masama. I’m very confident that whatever she decides to do in her life, pinag-isipan na nya lahat yan.
“Also, it’s not my story to tell. So, I guess, she will answer all the questions in her own time. All I do is to let her know and feel that she will always have my support and that I trust her and I will always be here for her and her siblings.”

PBA superstar Junemar Fajardo (JMF) and courtside reporter Apple David are just colleagues
Fake news alert
The PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) girl in me is all revved up for the opening of the league’s 50th season this Sunday.
I came across a Facebook post saying that PBA superstar Junemar Fajardo (JMF) and my fave courtside reporter Apple David are in a relationship.
So, I asked Apple for the real score (pun intended).
Here’s Apple’s reply: “Junemar and I are not a couple… We are just colleagues. I saw how our photo was taken out of context online and was used as a clickbait for views by a page.”
So, it turns out that she is not the Apple of JMF’s eyes and he is not her M.V.P. (Most Valuable Partner).

Viva Artists Agency (VAA) talent Wilbert Ross reprises his role as Arkin Sanchez in ‘Golden Scenery of Tomorrow’ and is set to release a new collection of songs.
La Vie En Ross
Wilbert Ross is on a roll.
After renewing his contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA), he is ready to level up his career.
Wilbert reprises his role as Arkin Sanchez — this time as a lead character — in the fifth installment of the hit “University Series” on Viva One, “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow,” alongside Bea Binene, who plays Via.
He is also set to release a new collection of songs as a follow-up to his debut album under Viva Records, “Lampara.”
Everything is coming up roses for Mr. Ross.
Here are quotes from Wilbert:
“My Vivamax ‘Boy Bastos’ days brought out my potential as a comedian. But I’m following a different career path now. Goodbye, Boy Bastos. Hello to new roles.
“Portraying a Pinoy superhero is on my bucket list. In fact, I created one, Atleta (a Pinoy super athlete) and I hope that the story I wrote can become a series. It never crossed my mind to quit showbiz even when I didn’t have projects. I just kept telling myself that my time will come.
“Now is the someday I’ve been waiting for. The weirdest thing I came across about me online was being linked to Sam Smith. I wonder where that came from. I just laughed it off.
“I don’t have any particular musical influences. I want to have my own sound. I like how Viva gives me creative freedom to release songs of various genres.”

‘Seducing Drake Palma’ lead stars, Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, have become closer.
Rabgel’s movie debut
As the hit series “Seducing Drake Palma” comes to a close, its lead stars, Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, have become closer.
The story of Drake and Alys will continue in Book 2 of the series, “Dating Alys Perez,” which will also be released soon on Viva One.
Rabin and Angela are off to greater heights in their upcoming big-screen debut, “A Werewolf Boy” (an adaptation of the hit Korean fantasy-romance film). Let “RabGel” keep casting a spell.
Here are quotes from Rabin and Angela:
Rabin: “Fame made my life change for the better, but I will never let fame change me. Although I don’t feel famous at all.”
Angela: “I’m attracted to Rabin. So, the kilig in our scenes comes naturally. He is boyfriend material.”
Rabin: “My fave line in our series is ‘I’m territorial.’ I want to say that to Angela even in real life.”
Angela: “Rabin is super maalaga and he can make me laugh even when I’m not in the mood to laugh. Like the time I was in pain after I tripped. I soaked my foot in ice to soothe it.
“Imagine Rabin got some of the ice from where my foot was, and he put it in his tumbler and drank water. Even (though) it seemed yucky to all of us, he did it to make me laugh my pain away.”
Rabin: “Portraying Drake taught me that it’s better to express our feelings instead of keeping things bottled up.”
Angela: “Words of affirmation and spending quality time are the ways to seduce me.”
