We’re only three weeks into September, and this month has already been monumental for Original Pinoy Music (OPM) and Pinoy pop (P-pop).
BINI just made history as the first all-Filipino group set to perform at Coachella in 2026. The girls will represent the Philippines at one of the most iconic international music festivals of the year, and their Blooms’ support is in full swing.

Coachella has become a dream stage for big and small names in music worldwide. Nobody can resist the festival’s show-stopping performances, attendees’ eye-catching outfits of the day (OOTDs), and must-watch lineups, which have included pop superstars like Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and BLACKPINK, to name a few.
That said, BINI’s win is also a major milestone for OPM, P-pop, and Filipinas in the music industry. Coachella is a certified “I made it” moment for every new artist of this generation, and our Filipino talents are no exception. If the nation’s girl group can finally say they’re Coachella-bound after years of manifesting it with their fans, then these OPM and P-pop icons deserve to say the same, in due time.
SB19
They aren’t called the P-pop kings for nothing. Add SB19 to the Coachella set list (or any music festival’s lineup, for that matter), and the crowd will be in for a masterclass in artistry worth telling their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids about.
We can already envision the audience becoming full-time A’TINs after the group’s Coachella set. How can they not, after the pandemonium of a possible “DUNGKA!” mosh pit? Who knows, they might even bring out Sarah Geronimo for an exclusive performance of “Umaaligid.” The chances are low, but never zero.
SB19’s P-pop legacy knows no bounds. The group is a shining example of the magic that happens when we give our homegrown performers a chance to shine. The members’ accomplishments, all-out performances, and sheer passion for their craft speak for themselves. We’ll always be in awe of how they bring their stories and experiences together for jaw-dropping shows fit for the global stage.
ALAMAT
ALAMAT is the epitome of Pinoy pride and diversity in the local music scene. Who wouldn’t want to see them raise our flag and showcase Philippine culture at Coachella? For years, the music festival has been home to artists from all walks of life, spanning every genre, sub-genre, and pop culture trend imaginable. ALAMAT’s stories of growth and individuality are bound to make the event all the more unforgettable.
Since their debut in 2021, ALAMAT has become one of the P-pop industry’s prominent representatives for cultural storytelling and appreciation. No matter where their music takes them, they make it a point to advocate for Pinoy artists, performers, and identities. The multilingual boy group has consistently proven that Filipino talent belongs on every stage, and we hope that Coachella will eventually become their next stop.
Cup of Joe
Three words: “Multo” at Coachella. Imagine the universal impact. Just picture the entire audience reminiscing over old flames and “situationships” that have run their course. If Cup of Joe can sweep the country off its feet with one chart-topping breakup song, then who says they can’t leave the same lasting impression on the Coachella crowd? Those avid music lovers are down for anything, and we reckon they’ll be more than happy to welcome Cup of Joe’s pop, rock, and alternative sounds with open arms.
Every stage Cup of Joe performs also becomes a platform for them to speak up on issues that matter. The band is no stranger to using its creative outlets for good causes. The members’ efforts for positive social change deserve acclaim and high praise on a global caliber.
G22
If Coachella ever calls for more P-pop girl groups at future festivals, G22 better pick up the phone. When AJ, Alfea, and Jaz perform at sold-out concerts, every arena remembers their names. You’ll never catch them lacking, and their live performances make sure to get that point across.
Coachella is a dynamic showcase of global talent fit for our three P-pop queens. It’s about time we see more Filipina power at the renowned music festival. With BINI and KATSEYE’s Sophia Laforteza taking the reins next year, we can’t help but speak G22’s Coachella debut into existence, as well.
