Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards took top honors as Phenomenal Box-Office King and Queen of Philippine Cinema, respectively, at the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards.
Bernardo and Richards were recognized anew for their record-breaking work in “Hello, Love, Again,” the sequel to the 2019 film “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
Another pair that emerged victorious was Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, who were named Most Popular Love Team of Philippine Entertainment following their work in the teleserye “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?”
Other major winners include Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual as Film Actors of the Year, Marian Rivera as Film Actress of the Year, and Jericho Rosales and Jodi Sta. Maria as Primetime TV Drama Actor and Actress of the Year, respectively.
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano were also crowned Prince and Princess of Philippine Entertainment, while siblings Andres and Atasha Muhlach were honored as Most Promising Male and Female Stars.
Meanwhile, the posthumous awardees include Nora Aunor, Gloria Romero, Pilita Corrales, Hajji Alejandro, and Ricky Davao.
The Box-Office Entertainment Awards is organized by the Guillermo Memorial Scholarship Foundation. This year’s awards night is scheduled for June 28 at the CPR Auditorium/RCBC Building, Ayala Avenue, Makati City.
The awards night is set to stream on July 13 at 10:30 PM on the Kapamilya Channel, streamed live on iWant TFC.
